#4 Wicklow, Ashford, Brittas Bay

The elevation change of this cycle was crazy, but the places I visited were worth it. I got the train to Wicklow Town, and from there I cycled to Ashford. On the way to Brittas Beach I visited the National Botanic Gardens, and then I cycled back to Wicklow Town to get the train back to Bray.

11th stamp - Wicklow

The heatwave was at its peak on the day I visited Wicklow Town, so there were people enjoying the cool water near the fortress ruins.

I got the 11th stamp from the Wicklow Gaol, which I should give a committed visit some day.

Mount Usher Gardens

I got the 12th stamp from the Mount Usher Gardens. The gardens had some exotic trees and lovely flowers, and August turned out to be the perfect time to visit them. Beside the gardens, there were some lovely shops with souvenirs and handcrafted items.

National Botanic Gardens

I got to visit another garden on my way. It was not a stamping location, I was just curious to see it. And for a free entry garden, it is pretty impressive, definitely worth a visit. Some of the trees there were pretty alien-looking.

13th stamp - Brittas Beach

That place was huge - 5km long beach, packed dense with tourists that were taking advantage of the heat wave. I got the 13th stamp from the Daybreak gas station and then cycled back to Wicklow to catch the train to Bray.
