#3 Rathdrum, Avoca, Arklow
I had visited all the stamp locations that were close to my residence in Bray, so to reach the rest I had to get my bike on trains and buses. I took the train to Rathdrum and cycled down to Avoca, and Arklow, where I took the train back to Bray. It was mostly downhill, to my delight.
8th stamp - Rathdrum
Rathdrum had the Splash Valley Aquapark, from where I got my 8th stamp. Looked like a great place for family holidays if you have kids.
Then I cycled around and got a nice shot of the train bridge.
Avondale Forest Park
Avondale park was something I had heard of but never really saw on pictures, so seeing it for the first time in person was quite spectacular, Later on it turned out that Avondale is on a lot of my friends' bucket lists!
9th stamp - Avoca
Avoca was situated quite high and the cycle to it was full of wildlife - I spotted a deer, a donkey, and a fox. When I arrived I got the 9th stamp from Hendley's Takeaway and spotted the St Mary's & St Patrick's Church. After that I headed to the main attraction of Avoca - their Handweavers' Mill.
Avoca Handweavers Mill
I did a tour of the Avoca Handweavers Mill, where they displayed their old weaving techniques.
10th stamp - Arklow
If I had to pick the second most beautiful town in Wicklow (first one being Bray, obviously) it would be Arklow. I did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Their harbour is amazing and their little shops in the town are full of great (and inexpensive) souvenirs. I got the 10th stamp from the Bridge Hotel, where they were surprised I was coming all the way from Bray. After that I got the train back.
